GRADUATE MASTER BUILDER (GMB) DESIGNATION
Sergio Grado (3rd from left, center row) was presented with the Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) award and completed the Graduate Master Builder (GMB) certifcation at the 2004 National Association of Home Builders, Jan 2004. Meeting the highest standards, Sergio Grado has obtained the GMB designation and stands with 136 other priemer builders with GMB designations in Texas. The 136 GMB professionals stand out from the crowd of builders and construction professionals totalling nearly 10,000 in Texas alone.
Requirements: To be eligible for the GMB designation, candidates must have earned the CGB designation, have ten years of building industry experience, adhere to industry standards of building and accept the responsibilities and obligations of a Builders Code of Ethics.
Code of Ethics, Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) and Graduate Master Builder (GMB)
As a CGB/GMB in good standing, I believe in, and accept, the responsibilities and obligations inherent in providing building services. Basic to these ethical beliefs, I agree to abide by and support the following objectives:
- To conduct my business affairs for professionalism and skill.
- To provide the best building value possible.
- To protect the consumer through the use of high quality materials and building practices backed by integrity and service.
- To meet all of my financial obligations in a responsible manner.
- To comply with the spirit and letter of my business contracts, and manage all of my employees, subcontractors and suppliers with fairness and honor.
- To keep informed regarding public policies and other essential information, which affect my business interest and those of the building industry as a whole.
- To comply with the rules and regulations prescribed by law and government agencies for the health, safety and welfare of the community.
- To provide timely response to items covered under warranty
- To seek to resolve any controversy which I may become involved in through non-litigation dispute resolution mechanism.
- To not attempt to injure, with malicious intent, either directly or indirectly, the professional reputation prospects, practices, or employment of another builder.
- To support and abide by the decisions of the association in promoting and enforcing this Code of Ethics.
